Each stamp ingot and medallion in the The Ultimate Marvel Collection
is meticulously crafted by the world’s most skilled artists and minters.
The painstaking process starts with a steel minting die that is the exact size
of the original stamp. When the craftsmen are satisfied that the master die is
flawless, only then is it placed into a massive proofing press. Polished .999 fine
silver blanks are carefully placed by hand into the press, where they are struck
one at a time to create proof-like silver ingots. The medallions are struck using
the same process, but with .999 fine silver blanks about the size of a classic
U.S. Silver Dollar.
For the ingots, perforations are precision diamond cut, then the colorized image
of the original stamp is meticulously applied. Colorized images are also
precision-applied to the medallions. The colorization is the highest quality
in the world, and it brilliantly captures every tiny detail of the original
designs. The result is a collection of stunning colorized stamp ingots and
medallions that exceeds even the highest standards of excellence.
